The best reason to practice tones
This morning the BBC has a video story about a new Chinese robot that speaks and responds to requests in Mandarin! (And sichuan dialect) I am naturally very excited about the idea of a Chinese speaking robot!
To make it even greater she's been designed to act either as a receptionist or as a museum tour guide! Unfortunatly it's only a video story so I can't post a link to it here, but the reuters story it came from can be found here with the video
