The Farewell Party by Milan Kundera

This is my new favourite book by Kundera. I really liked the fact that it was more of a novel than a collection of short stories. The interaction and intertwining of the characters was great. Even in translation I liked the language and the style. The plot was very fast paced, taking place over only 5 days. It was more sex and relationships than politics, but it still had enough politics to remind you you were reading a novel from the Eastern Bloc. Highly enjoyable and highly recommended.
