Thankfully there were no hospital visits this trip. It was relaxing and almost like being on vacation. I went to museums and bought books, what I normally do on vacation. And neither tards no co-worker got on my nerves, even at the end of the trip. So that was very nice.
We went to the Egypt exhibit at the museum. It was really great. I bought bill the book of every piece. It was odd to be at an Egypt exhibit and not have him there to translate the inscriptions for me. Mandy stood staring at the mummy's mask for about 10 minutes. She really liked it too. She enjoyed pointing out the snakes in the hieroglyphics.
I went into one book store and asked if they had any books in french. They only had kids books. But I found two adorable kids books, Bebe Vampire and Bebe Loup Garous. They were brilliant and hilarious. And will have to have bill bring them to french club.
We went to an underwater museum, where the fish looked kinda ill, one was swimming vertically! And watched their diving show their giant octopus was not very big. Mandy liked it though, and called it "pomus". We went to a butterfly garden which was pretty, but not a place to sit and write poetry and drink tea. We ended up with pop and sandwiches in their cafe. They had brown sauce, which I haven't had outside of england before, unfortunately there was nothing decent to put it on.
The rest of the trip was eating in restaurants, and making use of the hot tub and swimming pool in the hotel. It was alright, work paid for everything and I was paid to be there. So that was good.
