A very pleasant surprise.

I ordered a first edition of Lord Dunsany's Unhappy Far Off Things from ABE books a couple weeks ago. It arrived today. It was signed!!!! I'm so happy. It's so great to have a first edition, by one of my favorite authors, whose dead, signed!!! For some reason he signed it in the middle, at the end of one of the stories, so I don't think the seller realized it was signed. Otherwise it probably would have cost more than 10 dollars including shipping. The extra fortuitous part was that originally I was going to order a different copy but that book seller wanted something like 6 bucks for shipping. So I went for the next copy instead. It's been such a nice week.
