So some friends were asking me about the course I was going to take so I thought I'd post a link here.
For the MA in Asian History you take one major course and two minor courses, one of the minor courses can be a language, so I'll hopefully be able to continue my Chinese.
This is the course that I'm wanting to make my major. It includes the book list which is what attracted me to the course in the first place as I'd just read about half of them. Now I need to go back and read the other half!

The professor is also interested in the Tang dynasty (600-900AD) And I'm hoping to be able to study about the effects of religion on the lives of women at that time and then also look at the way Empress Wu was able to use religion to help justify her reign, and the different ways it was used by the Daoist Emperors.
The other minor courses I'm taking are proably going to be Chinese language, and reaserch methods, which would be very valuable if I want to go on and get my doctarate. But I might also see about doing this course about later imperial China and opium use. It was the one that first attracted me to SOAS in the first place.
