Now I am going to have to learn Cantonese...

I just discovered that yesasia.com has dvds/vcds of Josephine Siao (fong fong siao) and Connie Chan though mostly without subtitles. Oh I do so want to see them. Instead I bought myself a copy of "The Emperor and the Assasin" in Mandarin with simplified subtitles, horray I've been wanting a copy of that movie for ages. And then two I haven't seen before "Hu Du Men" with the aforemention Josephine Siao which looks very good, she plays an aging cantonese opera singer losing touch with reality and "Au Revoir mon Amor" which is all about a songstress during the war in Shanghai in the 40's and sounds wonderfuly tragic and Anita Mui is the singer! And it has Tony Leung too!

Now I am not allowed to buy any more movies at least till next month when I get paid again...
