I don't really know why I'm numbering them as I'm sure I'll forget soon. But we've had a nice couple days. Saturday we went into London with my aunt, saving the 10 pound tube fare (must figure out busses VERY soon!). We walked around by the houses of parliment and the river and wrote in our respective languages in the park. We had wanted to go out but alas were too tired.

Sunday we went book shopping at the Book Stalls on the South Bank which was quite nice, alas the books were not in the language Bill had been hoping, (having orignaly wanted to spend his birthday doing the same thing along the Seine). Then we got lost for a bit but eventually found the Bibliogoths who are all very nice and interesting. We had a great long discussion about the book I hated, which a lot of other people hated, but some loved and made for a very interesting time. I have to say no offence to anyone in Seattle but I can't imagine people sitting around a pub there for 3 hours and being able to have such lively book discussions. It was a lot of fun, and we got invited out on Tuesday and Friday night. So as long as we can stay on top of the jet lag we should have quite a fun week.

Today we need to go, buy the mobile, go to the bank, go to the estate agents, and start properly job hunting. (Right now we are doing a load of laundry, or a wash!) Later if we can stay awake we are joining [livejournal.com profile] miss_newham and [livejournal.com profile] verlaine for a pub quiz which promises to be most fun. Hopefully there will also be time to copy in my Chinese diary too!
