Floyd has landed! He will probably be ready for pickup around 3.30p but are calling me back with the exact time. Words cannot express how anxious I am to see the monster again!
My first day of class was excellent. I'm so excited about all the things we will be studying, the first term is all up to the Tang and all exactly what I love. We might even get a trip to the British Library to see the "Scripture of the Ten Kings of Hell" from Dun Huang! So excited! I went and had a lovely chat with the professor afterwards. He's really nice, just moved here from Italy, and he told me the coolest thing. The Dun Huang manuscripts are available to search online (well about a tenth of them) but it might be one of the coolest things ever!
