I just checked my email and there was one from my boss asking if I was interested in working EVERY Tuesday and Wednesday! I'm so excited! A proper part-time job, 3 days a week! Of course it would happen at the BUSIEST time of the ENTIRE academic year! But oh my god so very cool! I knew that Joelle girl didn't seem really interested or keen, I had the feeling she wouldn't last long, but I figured she'd at least start the job! Why would you apply and do training and then not work? But her loss is my gain!
Today I went to the British Library for the first time, it is much more modern and sophisticated than our library, they actualy use their barcodes! But the reading room wasn't nearly as nice looking, and was way more crowded. But they had the books I wanted. I have to say, if you're doing research check out the National Art Library and see if we have what you want, as we are much nicer than the British Library, and our catalogue is surprisingly large. But I might be biased.
I've now written almost half my essay on Empress Wu and I think it's shaping up quite well. I really should get back to it now I just had to share the happy news!
