(no subject)

Today at work I got to look at the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th editions of The Castle of Otranto hidden away in the locked Dyce collection. Needless to say I was a little dissapointed Mr. Dyce seemed to have missed the first edition. But they were gorgeous, and the 2nd edition was only published a year later in 1765. It made up for the rest of the afternoon which was exceedingly busy and therefore a tad hellish.
