Well the boat was nice. It was great to see friends and the sights of London. The noxious carbon-monoxide fumes and smoke on the top deck were a bit unpleasant. Bill managed to get a scratch on his corneia, which led him to throw away his contact and spend the rest of the night in pain and half blind. I danced away the last hour on the bottom floor. I liked Every song the DJ played, from Cheesy industrial, to Skinny Puppy and Ministry and THEN the "sexiest song in the world ever" (also known as I wanna be your dog) Red Right hand and then HEROES! And not the crappy dolphin verse first version of Heroes but the PROPER album version which Starts with "I will be King". Never have I heard a dj who played that before. It was brilliant. Shortly afterwards we docked and tried to take Bill home.

Here starts the worst trip in London so far. At 1 we found our bus stop. We waited for 45 minutes for a N15 which didn't come. (Its supposed to run every 12 minutes). So we gave up and wandered to the bus stop for the longer bust to Canning town. It only came 2 times an hour, so we finaly got on the bus at 2. We made a long trip through docklands and had just come out the otherside when some "youths" who were acting "anti-socially" got on the bus. One refused to pay and swore at the driver and disappeared upstairs. The driver just didn't drive away and got on his radio. The youth's friend came downstairs, apologised and paid for his friend. The driver Still didn't drive away! We just sat there for half an hour, despite various people complaining to the driver, offering to pay youths fare and generaly being grumpy as it was now 3 oclock in the morning. Another bus finaly showed up so we all started to get off the stopped bus, at which point the driver closed the doors and started to drive away, however when the other bus pulled out into the street the driver pulled our bus back into the side of the road and didn't move AGAIN. Which resulted in more yelling on behalf of the people who Had paid their fare! 5 minutes afterwards he did start and drove for about 4 more stops, before the youth got off the bus and flipped a switch at the back of the bus and it subsequently lost all power. And the bus driver had no idea what to do, so there we were 3.20 sitting on a bus with no power, Bill having been blind and in incredible ammounts of pain the whole time, me tired and very sober. We got off the bus and saw a stop for the 15 across the street. (the bus we had originaly tried to get to). So we tried to cross the street. A bus came and 3 other people got on. Of course the bus driver didn't wait for us so we decided we'd walk a bit. At this point the bus we'd orginaly been on got its power back and drove past. Naturaly the driver didn't attempt to see if we wanted to get back on the bus, now it was working, just drove off! So we walked a bit, shortly we got to the Canning Town flyover and then after about 20 minutes of walking realised we were where we should have gotten off the bus and just walked the rest of the way home. Finally made it in at 4! 3 hours for what should have been a 1 hour trip! It would have been quicker to have gone to the after party first!

Not the night I pictured for celebrating my dissertation being finished!
