This Thursday Bill and I are heading to Dana Centre for another lecture, this one on Stars and the interaction between music and science.

How can science and art interact? What are solar flares and how can they make music? How do we create images of the Sun? What is the sound of the stars?

Last weeks talk about Death was very good. My favourite part had to have been the "death sound" which had a very interesting and slightly eccentric woman talking about infra-sound, very low sound you have a hard time hearing. What was interesting is that these types of sounds are made to be "awe-inspiring" when played in church organs and seem to be around haunted or mystical sites.
The scientist experts talked a lot about the dangers of cocaine use, but also mentioned how that if the figures were true about the ecstasy it was the safest drug ever invented! (least leathal)

Tommorow is my first day back at work for a week, I'm not really looking forward to it. Especially as Bill has the whole week off! Today we are going to return to the British Museum and attempt to finish our codex.

I have a job interview next Tuesday! Horray! It sounds like a lovely library assistant job with a decent wage. Just when I'd all but given up on getting anywhere. Of course I'm still applying for the two dream jobs that close next week, just in case.
