(no subject)

Today beluosus has his Life in the UK test. I would ask you to wish him luck, but its already over. As my boy is very clever I'm sure he'll pass. But what an odd test it looked like it will be.

Last night we met mrsoles's girlfriend, Anita (Whose LJ name I don't know but should find out). We had a lovely chat. It was good to be able to catch up on the lives of our friends back in the states. (Note to self 5 pints on an empty stomach may make one a little intoxicated)

Tonight I will be going to Betty Ford Clinic, where I will recieve my copy of Harry Potter and act as a librarian for the Harry Potter reading area. (or something). It promises to by quite hilarious.

Tommorrow my dad will be visiting and attempt to fix my computer. We are thinking of going out to Innvocation, as he's said for ages that he would like to meet my friends. (Don't worry he's been to a goth club before and knows how to behave). But I'm not sure how many people will be there, as I heard talk of Slimelight and ejde's party will be happening.

Should be a fun weekend.

EDIT: He passed! (No big surprise really but I still feel proud, weren't even any questions about Eastenders, Big Bruva, or Dr. Who)

Storms

Could the weather be any more perfect for the release of the final Harry Potter book? One of the librarians just looked up at the sky and said, "it almost looks like its going to snow". Dark clouds, thunder and and as I write this the heavens open and out pours a large ammount of rain. I feel overwhelmingly optimistic.

Today Bill went to give our notice and turns out, we can't just give 30 days notice but have to give it in time with when we paid rent on the lease. Probably should have seen that one coming, but now as we are moving in on the 11th means we will be paying an extra month's worth of rent, which combined with Bill's visa fees means we are a bit fucked! At this rate the last of our savings will be gone before we know it.

Still planning on going out tonight, hopefully drowning my sorrows and Harry Potter will cheer me up a bit. But after that I think some serious budgeting, and perhaps selling of things, is going to need to happen. :(
