Tonight I am going to go to City for their postgraduate opening evening. Hopefully it'll go well and they'll convince me that I want to apply. I've been getting quite excited about it this week and having all sorts of ideas about possible dissertation topics, such as the impact of electronic resources or digitisation on special collections, which could impact collections policy, as well as the view of books as "objects" rather than as sources of information. (Inspired by a report back from a talk given at the rare books librarian meeting that my manager went to). Which while not as cool as
morbidfrog's dissertation, is an interesting idea for a possible place to start.
