A winner is me!!!

The lovely 2nd hand book shop across from the British Library was having it's closing 75 percent off sale today! (It's opening again tommorow at 12 for anyone interested in seeing what remains). It's a lovely shop but SO expensive normally! Even with the huge sale there were still a couple things I liked that didn't feel I could pay THAT much for. BUT I DID manage to get the 2 vols. of Joseph Needham's Science and Civilisation in China about ALCHEMY!!!
(£110 reduced to £27 for both!) These are books that at SOAS weren't even allowed out of the China reference reading room and couldn't be photocopied or anything! I am SOOOO happy to have my own copies!!!!
Earlier Bill managed to snag himself a lovely photostat of Gallileo in Latin, and bought me a lovely Maspero book on Pre-Imperial China! :)
