I've just been looking at the SOAS webpage, and saw the most beautiful words ever, "BA degree in history, or related Social sciences field". I've been sure for ages, without checking, which was dumb, that there'd be no way I could apply for history without an undergraduate history degree. (part of the reason for doing my current course)
There's a specific course on Chinese Religion in the Imperial Era, and I was looking at the list of essential reading, and it was half books I'd already read, or had just picked up, to read for fun!!! And the area of specialty of the teacher is the Tang, my favorite dynasty!!! Oh I so know what I want to do next year. I have to talk my proffesor into writing a recommendation for me. One of her books is on the required reading list. That means a recommendation from her has got to count for bonus points right? Oh the idea of being able to study Imperial Chinese religion just makes me all happy and squirmy inside. I have to think of some inteligent way to communicate these feelings to the proffesor, and try and contact him for more information about the class. Oh it just sounds heavenly. (no pun intended)
