One of the weirdest questions my boss has ever asked me

So today my boss informed me that her sister was depressed because all her friends were getting married and she didn't have a boyfriend and wanted to date a guy like their father, a nice sensitive scientist. And then she asked me if I knew how one went about picking up a scientist.

I have to say I was a little perplexed. And couldn't think of anything for awhile. But then I suggested perhaps there might be an online community, where she could talk to people about her interests and things. I said it might be a bit geeky, but if you're looking to date a scientist then you might have to do a couple of geeky things.

She said she thought she'd ask me as she knew I like science, which I do, but have never tried to turn that interest into a romantic relationship!

But I've had some pretty amusing images of a girl hanging around the science section in the book store. Sitting reading Carl Sagan in a low cut blouse and mini skirt.

I just don't know. How does one pick up a scientist?
