I started to babble in Feralboy's journal about my first proper day of class and thought here would be a better place to do it. I got so nervous about it last night that I hardly slept at all. I felt like I was back in grade schol. I was worried about the disscusion, it has been 15 years since I was in a history class, how would I keep up with the young wiper snapers in their senior years of their BA's. Turns out Damn well! At least I think so. I spoke up lots, way more than when I was in my own undergraduate studies. When I didn't speak and let others take their turn, frequently the thoughts in my head were then echoed by the teacher. I thought some people's answer's were disjointed and not connected. (Course I have no idea how I sounded) but I think I did preety well. I was the only student in the entire discussion (there are about 65 of us in the class!) that she addressed by their given name. I felt so happy. I guess sometimes it pays to be a nice old purple haired freak as it means you stand out from the mass of normal younger students. Here's to hoping for that grad school recommendation.
I also went out and got my ID card and sticker that gets me a bunch of free things, including bus rides and parking and things. HORRAY! Now hopefully I'll be able to get a little sleep before having to stay up all night tonight for work.
