The week started with a trip to the British Library for a training day on historic bookbings and conservation. It was very interesting.
Tuesday evening we went to Treadwells for a talk on Egyptian Religion, which mainly focused on mummies and the afterlife, quite enjoyable. Tonight sees us return to Treadwells again, this time for a talk on Alchemical symbolism, tommorow we're going to the Greek play here at King's and then this weekend my mother is visiting!
But before then this afternoon I have to give my first presentation of rare books for visitors to the library. I am quite nervous! I'm told that this will happen a lot, but I'm not one for public speaking, and need to spend the next hour or so setting up the books and remembering the relevant facts about them. I'm sure once I get used to this it'll be more fun!
