Huge deep breath and a couple of very nervous phone calls. I called my new boss and asked about volunteering one day a month at the science museum as my in liu time for Saturdays and she said that would be okay, though we'd try it for a couple of months and see how it works out. Then phoned the Science Museum and asked if we could get the induction and training done before the 12th and she said yes, she'd send out an email to start that right away! So HORRAY! Job AND Volunteer catalogue training sorted!
I ALSO asked about Whitby and she said any pre-booked holidays were fine! (just realised I gave her the wrong dates, but figuring its better to not call back and sound like an idiot right away but mention it when I start! DOH).I did give her short dates feeling guilty, (thursday-monday away). But now I will have a job we can affoard the spa tickets after all! Does anyone know of any sellers who have any left?????
